- o Ciclope que às vezes é Saturno Devorando um Filho e outras vezes é o tubarão do Spielberg no sentido que é escondido pelos elementos. O seu grito é um som desesperador.
- e a cena da Circe, com os porcos, que deve ser a melhor cena do filme inteiro. Esquisita, dá nervoso, me deixa com um sorriso grande porque eu amo essas esquisitices. E deve ter o melhor combo de uma das melhores atuações do filme com uma cena que é tematicamente essencial pra ele.
Mas a cena tem um problema: o seu clímax depende de uma ação que foi muito mal filmada/ editada. A ação com o pássaro na gaiola, que dita o drama da cena, quase não aparece em cena e é difícil de entender visualmente. O que me incomodou muito foi a duração dos planos. I have no words even on a rewatch. I can just say this is just like any other Nolan’s films where the film gets insanely better with multiple viewings. Nolan doesn’t make FILMS. He creates films that will stay with me forever. Synonyms for Nolan include moments, vibes, frames, lingering etc etc. I don’t know how he does it in all his films. Why can’t I forget his films even after days or months or years. I am not complaining. This is exactly why I am a CINEMA lover. GOAT in true sense. Thank you Nolan. Thank you 🙏🏻

The Gods told you—“ ODYSSEUS “You Gods don’t speak in ways we understand!” ATHENA “Who doesn’t understand pain?! Or blood?! Or death?!” I saw the Odyssey today in IMAX 70mm. This will probably be my fourth and last viewing of the movie until eventually it comes out on disc or digital. And it STILL hits. Never felt the runtime for a single second. Also, it is 100% worth it to see IMAX 70mm. The picture was huge and it just looked so much better. It felt more real and more timeless. Also this movie was born to be on VHS. I can’t imagine how good it would look on a CRT.

Felt like a skimmed-over simple narration style of "this happened, then this happened...and then that happened" really uninspired and bore worthy storytelling, probably the worst I've seen from Nolan. The visuals and the compositions in the mythical runs are stunning; the editing is NOT. Cutting to a different frame every 2-3 seconds like a tiktok reel was god awful to keep up with for my eyes. The third act was a strain, cut up like a netflix blockbuster where you never see the blows landing, or even who's landing them on who.
Too poor for IMAX so I had to watch the 480p camrip version with a watermark :(
fun movie matt damon doesnt have the gravitas to execute an incredible odysseus but he is okay, music couldve been better, certain characters lacked depth just give us some time to breathe with some characters please and also anne hathaway best supporting actress absolutely stole the show saved the day great movie family wow nice very cool but at the end of the day near impossible to adapt this story anyway and nolan did a great job, nolan ranking oppenheimer interstellar dunkirk inception the dark knight and then prestige and odyssey are interchangeable 6/7 spot HAHAHA SIX SEEEVENN i'm going insane i'm goong yo sleep goodnfitb

Not our beloved Nolan!! Expectations were at the place where it should be, and this time he has kind of let us down for the first time I would say.... The least his movie went for me was like "not best but this was something unique and creative and indeed a memorable plot to remember for years" With this one I would say, it definitely was a visual treat but nothing else had a nolan touch in it. Tbh I was nervous a night before like what if I didn't understand the movie in first watch as it's my first time in theatre to experience nolan movie, instead it felt predictable and screenplay was not at all complex and as well felt like a spoon feed this time :
Pewien znany krytyk z polskiego youtube'a określił ten film mianem "bisu do Oppenhaimera". I jest w tym dużo prawdy. Odyseja ma te same momentami nienaturalne-zbyt filmowe dialogi, zbyt wyraźnie podbudowujące tak samo epickie sceny. Tak samo jest koncertem jednej postaci, dookoła której tańczy tuzin innych, które trochę cierpią przez brak wystarczającego screentime'u. Swoją drogą - to broń boże żaden przytyk, wyłącznie obserwacja - aktorskiego dobra jest tu aż ponad sam korek, gdzie prawie-statystów grają gwiazdy największego formatu. Do tych u których dopatrywałbym się szans w sezonie nagrodowym, poza Mattem Damonem należy z pewnością piękna Anne Hathaway, która ma swój big moment w końcówce.
