The Odyssey2026

Felt like a skimmed-over simple narration style of "this happened, then this happened...and then that happened" really uninspired and bore worthy storytelling, probably the worst I've seen from Nolan. The visuals and the compositions in the mythical runs are stunning; the editing is NOT. Cutting to a different frame every 2-3 seconds like a tiktok reel was god awful to keep up with for my eyes. The third act was a strain, cut up like a netflix blockbuster where you never see the blows landing, or even who's landing them on who. All the characters felt undeniably miscast; except Robert Pattinson. You can clearly see the all the actors and their phantom ghosts of the most famous characters they're associated with in their performances. Not a film I'd wanna watch in it's entirety again. Maybe for the cinematography, but that too seems to have diminishing returns.
