The Odyssey2026

Not our beloved Nolan!! Expectations were at the place where it should be, and this time he has kind of let us down for the first time I would say.... The least his movie went for me was like "not best but this was something unique and creative and indeed a memorable plot to remember for years" With this one I would say, it definitely was a visual treat but nothing else had a nolan touch in it. Tbh I was nervous a night before like what if I didn't understand the movie in first watch as it's my first time in theatre to experience nolan movie, instead it felt predictable and screenplay was not at all complex and as well felt like a spoon feed this time : Definitely if it was any another Director, I'd have said what a production masterpiece with well paid of thrilling climax.... But all of this was bare minimum from him. My primary complaint would be from the best part and which is production; the armors were really felt out of place and some of more things as well, yeah they look very cool to watch but at least could have given grounded feel to it.... I was more engaged in Ithica's politics which made the climax nail biting, and Odysseus had that main character energy!! But the thing is, I'm getting the same kind of thrill from HOTD these days and it is itself a shocking comment for a nolan movie. Ending was okay, not satisfactory as it all comes down the part that what we expected and not this generic plot or atleast not this straight forward story.... Some positives from the movie:- Imax experience was indeed delightful Movie was well engaging, & kept me hooked Really liked Odysseus aura in the climax Still have so many things going about this, but end on a positive note like the ending from the movie ;) For the visual treat and engaging plot, i give 7 out of 10
