no death here is spectacular, most of them donโt even feel special. and the shock comes precisely because they just come and go and come again. Pure evil that destroys so much beauty.

Martin Scorsese has done it again.ย This is one of his quietly chilling dramas. Like 206 minutes of slow brewing powerful drama with a screenplay that is masterfully watertight. This is not a suspense or a mystery film as few thought it to be. Because the inciting incident happens right in front of our eyes. We get the sense of evil present in almost every scene and we get the sense of dreadfulness whenever we see Osage Indians once we know what exactly is happening to them. Itโs the larger dirty motive of extreme whites and their oppression that is explored throughout and it happens in a way that takes its own time. It is trying to slowly give the same โHelplessโ feeling that Osage Indians felt here. That unfortunate confused state. Leoโs character starts with a mental state just like us (The viewers) who is getting into a new horizon and then meticulously it gets into a questionablyโฆ

Subtle yet within the scenes in its colossal runtime, it is visually appealing and invigorating. On how the story unfolds each time, it shifts to more serious and darker tones, a display of gruesome aftermaths. The capacity to create a sensation of terror and uneasiness was overflowing, and it was paired with a subsiding effect of the political plot that gradually became more clear and comprehensible. Just for the longest time, this might be my newest favorite of Scorsese's ever since his 1976 film ๐๐๐ญ๐ ๐ฟ๐ง๐๐ซ๐๐ง.
