It’s not a good feeling to be on the minority side yet again after “Glass onion”. Almost feels like I watched a completely different film compared to majority. Although this has got some of the best cinematography of the series, best performances including josh o'connor, most serious writing of the series and the most emotional one, it was still not enough for me to completely love it. I know it tried to be more than just whodunit but still I couldn’t feel it as much as I wanted it to be. Writing didn’t do much as a whodunit. It was pretty basic. Some of the writing choices or a reveals were quite juvenile. Central theme of the film - church, corruption, GOD, Sins and all kinda overpowered the true essence of WHODUNIT for me. I expected more. It’s still much much better than the dud GLASS ONION but 200% it couldn’t reach the masterful writing and execution of the original “KNIVES OUT” according to me. Knives out ->>>>>>> Wake up dead man ->>> Glass onion
An incredibly relevant, if unsubtle, film. I love the aesthetics of the film, much more in line with the first, and the mystery is not just interesting but thematic. The characters, while mostly insufferable, are all entertaining, and Blanc is at top form as always. I have no respect for Catholicism, whose entire purpose in Christendom seems to be to separate the body from Christ and create these idols, symbols, and rituals to serve as unnecessary middlemen in a simple two-part transaction. Which is exactly what Christ came to this world to end. I digress.

Not only it was a great mystery but I love how Rian Johnson shows the effects of the alt right pipeline and how dangerous religious fantacism can be.

Najmniej natchniona intryga w tej serii do tej pory, mimo iż większość filmu przyjdzie nam spędzić na terenie kościoła. Terenie który uważam za zdecydowanie najsłabszy (znowu) anturaż ze wszystkich trzech, chociaż tutaj dużo zależy od poczucia estetyki. Dla mnie miejsca akcji są nie tylko monotonne, ale też pozbawione duszy (wink); chociaż muszę przyznać, że akustyka samego wnętrza kościoła jest świetna i nawet raz czy dwa została kreatywnie wykorzystana. Za to tym, co stoi tutaj na najwyższym poziomie w tej franczyzie, jest humor który trafia idealnie w moje gusta, bo jest dosadny, momentami wręcz balansuje na granicy wulgarności; a do tego bywa nieoczywisty (przerwanie taśmy "do not cross" to majstersztyk). No ale co z chyba największym mięskiem tych filmów, czyli obsadą? Na papierze jest cudowna jak zwykle, niestety w samym filmie... nie ma żadnych cudów. Chociaż sami aktorzy…
