I checked all the hatred towards this after being nominated for 13 categories at oscars and I was super curious to know why.  Can’t believe I really liked it. Message came out powerfully because of musicals. I liked almost all sung through musicals. They were engaging and also impactful throughout. Story was also interesting. Where it falters was the generic action genre trait in the end that was saved by the way it was shot. Technically this is actually solid from cinematography to musicals and the way some of the shots were framed throughout was brilliant. Performances by Sofia especially was the best/natural, then Zoe was nice and Salena was also decently likeable if not of Sofia’s level.  Not at all weakest film to be nominated for me. Conclave’s unnecessary woke shit ending is what makes it weakest so far in the best picture nominations list for me. Emilia Perez is the real woke…

Ależ to nierówne. Film ma w sobie aspekty zarówno bardzo udane, jak i fatalne. Do tych pierwszych z pewnością zalicza się występ Zoe Saldany oraz piosenki, a najlepiej połączenie obu tych składowych, bo kiedy Zoe może zaśpiewać i zatanczyć, wtedy na ekranie dzieje się magia. Tym bardziej, że większość piosenek ma w sobie coś ciekawego i są naprawdę catchy. Z rzeczy dużo mniej udanych - fabuła. Historia to jest taki bałagan bez ładu i składu, że nie da się tego obronić nawet faktem, iż mamy do czynienia z musicalem. Do tego film przekazuje rzeczy które chce przekazać tak bardzo prosto w twarz, że trudno o mniejszą subtelność. Może taki był zamysł, ale nie cierpię kiedy film sam wyciąga z siebie wnioski, zamiast dać na to miejsce widzowi. Od pewnego momentu zaczyna też nużyć, mimo dzikiego montażu (scena z karaoke to jest jakiś kosmos, jeszcze sam nie wiem czy w pozytywnym, czy w negatywnym sensie). No i durne zakończenie, którego chyba nie rozumiem, albo nie chcę rozumieć. PS Selena Gomez Ty kurwo...
