More like "The idea that we confine to ourselves because we never feel as if we can truly grow from what we have been and we take the small things that we do and blow them up to tremendous proportions and slap those small things onto ourselves and feel as if that the small thing is now who we are even though that's not how anyone actually ever will view us as... In the World.

"I feel like a spectator in my own life." Aren't we all ?

This felt like a movie that kept mirror in front of me, and asked me to make a checklist for my use that is closer to the lead actress’s life here and it’s no surprise that I checked almost 90% of what she experienced in the movie. Apart from the romantic relationships, just her being that “Get away” girl when the life gets tougher or making that tough decisions  is so madly relatable for me. I also sensed a low self esteem in her which is again something of our age might experience. This is the kind of a character that I will keep in mind for life. A character that deserves to be like a case study. Sensational performance by Renate Reinsve.  Chapter 2 - Cheating was my most favourite and pathbreaking in terms of filmmaking and projecting the flaws of the character in a refreshing way, totally unlearning the tropes of the genre. Loved it immensely.

Trier är en mästare på att bygga berättelser som känns äkta och relaterbara. Känner dock att det kanske tog liiite lång tid att bygga upp en relation till karaktärerna. Inte en dålig film på nåt sätt men kanske hade gjort sig bättre på en bioduk än hemma i soffan.
