Young hobbit Frodo Baggins, after inheriting a mysterious ring from his uncle Bilbo, must leave his home in order to keep it from falling into the hands of its evil creator. não sabia que era filme de maconheiro. tava com um pouco de sono então perdi umas coisas mais pro final. Cria um ambiente de tranquilidade muito bem no início e vai se transformando aos poucos mas às vezes eu fiquei meio perdido perguntando porque parecia que ninguém tava com pressa pra nada, meio sem urgência - algo que talvez não exista na versão normal (assisti a estendida). e caramba o volume nas horas de luta de espada tava muito alto no cinema quase morri

Does Frodo choose to carry the ring or is he compelled by the ring to carry it? Is it that the ring strictly enjoys the torment it causes and Frodo volunteers in order to spare others or does it see the good in Frodo and chooses him as it knows it will not be waylaid by violence and greed like it would with another? I was so moved on this watch maybe more than any other time I’ve watched it. By the time he makes it to Rivendell, he was ready to go home. He had done more and gone further than many have in entire lifetimes. And one way or another, he is compelled to take up the burden and carry it to the end. And do it alone. Only in the face of his bravery do the others unite with him.

revisiting sam and frodo, my favourite doomed yaoi couple, and honestly? this movie still hits like the first time. it has such visually stunning shots. the color grading? straight out of my dreams! everything feels so rich and lived-in. it’s wild how every frame looks like it was crafted with actual love and care. it’s such a shame they don’t make movies like these anymore. truly timeless.
