From 4.5 to 5. The best going-of-age film. Just love how this film manipulates you. It does such a good job of capturing what I’d imagine to grow old have your mind deteriorate slowly/quickly over time.

Dementia is the worst thing that could happen to a person
This is the kind of a film that I honestly never thought would make me use the word “MINDBLOWING”. The thing is script could have been written in a way that many are used to but this is very much like Charlie Kaufman’s character and that’s why I loved it even more than what I thought it would be. It goes totally into the mind of a character and this in itself makes it a non-linear storytelling, as here in The Father, character has dementia and how brilliantly it’s written. We are feeling him, seeing what he’s seeing, we are even made to think like him but in seconds we are made to wonder what’s happening, “are we in the same flat or is it a different place? Is that his daughter? Or somebody else? Now who is that guy?Where is his watch again? New caretaker stole it?, I just saw this scene right? Etc etc” all these came to my mind as if I was living the life of Anthony’s character and his…
