I didn’t know that paul dano was also in this.  I was shocked seeing him as “the riddler” and what an amazing performance by him. Btw nolan’s batman trilogy was way good in cinematography.

If Nolan’s trilogy redefined the way we see a superhero film that was vastly grounded to reality, then Matt’s Batman redefines the DC world in its purest form. This is an un-compromised, brutal and the most realistic portrayal of Gotham city I have ever seen. It’s too dark for a reason. And lengthy for a reason. Nolan’s batman too was heavily grounded portrayal of Gotham but it still had that “Entertainment” quotient according to me which is why it has mad repeat value. Matt’s Batman movie is not a synonym for superhero entertainment, it’s more of a synonym for superhero story immersion in the purest DC form. Every frame gave me a lot of time to savour it, it doesn’t rush. Even the action sequences are shot in a way that audience can feel the vibe. Something in the way..... There's very few movies that made me so eager and excited to watch it and now that I have finally seen it I can say it surpassed all expectations. In my opinion this is the best Batman movie ever made. They did a phenomenal job with capturing the detective side of the story filled with showcasing the inner struggles if Batman. Robert Pattinson is the Batman. No other actor has captured the essence of both Bruce Wayne and batman so well before. Catwoman and riddler were amazing too. This is in every word a cinematic masterpiece. It's raw, emotional keeps you on the edge of your seat. Everything from the music to the cinematography to writing was simply top notch. Have to watch this a hundred more times.

The film has a fresh take on Batman, and its one I feel the character needs. The Christopher Nolan movies didn't try for it, but nevertheless fed into the stereotype of Batman being police brutality personified, which makes it nice that this movie offers a different take. Here, the Batman is forced to confront the meaning of his mission throughout the movie, and his gradual shift of desires from vengeance to hope is done really well and is an interesting statement on Batman. I also liked how Batman actually doesn't kill anyone in this movie. It's a bare minimum, but it's rare and I was glad to see it here. The action is also just great, better than most others.
