The Batman2022

If Nolan’s trilogy redefined the way we see a superhero film that was vastly grounded to reality, then Matt’s Batman redefines the DC world in its purest form. This is an un-compromised, brutal and the most realistic portrayal of Gotham city I have ever seen. It’s too dark for a reason. And lengthy for a reason. Nolan’s batman too was heavily grounded portrayal of Gotham but it still had that “Entertainment” quotient according to me which is why it has mad repeat value. Matt’s Batman movie is not a synonym for superhero entertainment, it’s more of a synonym for superhero story immersion in the purest DC form. Every frame gave me a lot of time to savour it, it doesn’t rush. Even the action sequences are shot in a way that audience can feel the vibe. Dark hallway action sequence is one of the most distinctive set pieces I have seen in this universe. Cinematography was breathtaking. The villains were stunning. What a performances by Paul and colin. It’s always great performing villains that makes these kinda films more memorable. Confronting scene towards the end has to be one of the best written scenes in a superhero world. For a second I Forgot I was watching a superhero movie.  Nolan’s Trilogy will always stay iconic and we should embrace the past. But Matt’s Batman is the epic new beginning and let’s embrace the present too. This is DC going in the right direction with Matt and the superb Robert pattinson and of course Zoë Kravitz as catwoman.
