full of energy and spirit. I especially loved the party scenes. all the ritual of setting up the hand, with the amazing actor that plays the guy that knows the most about it. felt very genuine and like a lot of things that happen at real teen parties. the camera itself can seem violent and strong when it moves, showing us something horrific and exciting at the same time.  the sounds too! the way they move the hand, or light a candle, or how the sounds around the person being possessed change around them all make the scenes feel so intense. something made the film lose me a bit nearing the end, though. the energy felt a little bit lower and the “trauma” focused, a24 “post-horror” stuff didn’t grab me as much. the ending is pretty awesome, though. fittingly dark.

Yet again A24 delivers. Backing a project done by a YouTuber is something absolutely amazing. A24 has always backed such projects that are something out of the box and totally engaging horror. Here also there’s a clever usage of a horror trope (normally Ouija board fun) and turned into something more sinister. That’s where this concept thrives. It’s not Ouija broad this time which makes it whole lot of refreshing fun yet terrifying. Breaking the stereotypes totally. I would have surely wanted writers to go deeper into the concept but seriously this would have lost overall universal appeal. Whatever was there in the film was a good creepy fun. Ending was 🔥

Well into my 20s, I avoided possession films due to fear. Now, as a grown-up, I like them and I find them less scary! Just like how maturing works on tv! Cool!

Chłop z mocnym aussie akcentem -> Sia na głośniku w aucie -> potrącenie kangura. Tak się powinno zaczynać australijskie filmy. Mój drugi raz z nim, i drugi raz zadziwił mnie tym, ile udało się tu upchać. Niemożność pogodzenia się ze śmiercią bliskiej osoby, początki depresji, problem z używkami, naciski równieśników i chęć zaimponowania im, cyber-przemoc. Nieźle jak na 90 minut, a co najważniejsze Talk to Me nie zapomina przy tym, że ma też straszyć (w przeciwieństwie do np Wolf Mana z tego roku, brrr). Przy scenie z "run, run, run, run, run..." przeszły mnie takie ciary, że byłem bliski zapalenia światła w pokoju xD. Tutejsza wizja piekła i ogólnie życia po śmierci jest również mega przerażająca. Wszystko sprzedane przez obsadę, którą życzyłbym sobie zobaczyć w kolejnych dużych, np hollywodzkich produkcjach, bo naprawdę dali radę. Znowu przez najbliższy miesiąc będe słuchał La Foule w remixie.
