This has brought me so much joy I could cry!!

This must be the most beautiful movie ever made. This is the kind of thing La La Land was trying to bring back, but it just couldn’t stick. Wicked Part One too has a classic feeling with its grandiose sets and huge dance numbers. Unfortunately, it couldn’t stick the landing for Part 2, but I don’t think that’s really the movie’s fault.  As for this movie, I cried. Multiple times. This is the ultimate movie about movies, and if anyone knows anything about me, they know I love movies. One day, my god, I hope when Hollywood and audiences get over this obsession with realism and cynicism, we can have beautiful movies like this again. Art that makes your spirit soar. That makes you feel alive and want to live. This is what we need in the world today.

Może nie spadłem z krzesła i nie rozerwało mi przepony, ale kilka razy zaśmiałem się w głos, a banana na twarzy miałem nieustannie. I ten cały humor udało się wpleść w zgrabną meta-opowieść o robieniu kariery i celebryckim życiu. Swoją drogą Babylon Chazelle'a zawdzięcza temu filmowi jeszcze więcej niż myślałem, a bycie tak ważnym elementem mojego ulubionego filmu, jest dla mnie sporym plusem samo w sobie. Z krzesła nie mogłem spaść, bo nieustannie chodziła mi nóżka w rytm kawałków, z których nie potrafiłbym wskazać jakiegoś słabszego, za to mam swój ulubiony i jest nim Good Morning.
