喜歡這種復仇怪片（什麼意思）

The acting, the colors, the writing!! Those were all pretty great! But the ending is what will probably make this stay on my mind for a while, since it certainly wasn’t what I was expecting. I had my jaw on the floor for most of the runtime.

Unabashedly this is the most stylish poetic justice to all the victims of #MeToo in the most entertaining, dark and twisted manner. Over the years, this is one of those subject in films that has set my mindset regarding how it goes from beginning to end. The typicality of it all. But debutant writer-director Emerald Fennell takes the most trickiest route to tell the story and shattering all the stereotypes by the time it reaches a shockingly satisfying climax that I feel was never done before. It’s highly clever ending that serves as a justice yet taking the dark humour path that weirdly seemed more impactful that I would have never thought if I had read it just on paper.  The tone of such movies have always been very typical, this could have even gone “I spit on your grave” way but thankfully it didn’t reach any kind of such stereotypes and this is why this makes it one of the best films ever made on this subject and of course Carey Mulligan‘s best performance of her career yet.
