Just when the film started and few scenes were done, I really thought this to be same old formulaic caste based film that we have seen so many times which is set in college with the romance and girl’s father being a villain. But I was so wrong. Yes, this is that too whatever I said above but that is just a commercial camouflage that takes totally focused route and highly impactful route to tell a casteism story. This is literally new wave of commercial cinema that is coming out nowadays that are trying to be different yet appeal everybody and project important message. Pa Ranjit the producer here did the same in Rajnikanth’s Kaala.  Mari Selvaraj makes sure that it doesn’t feel stale and boring like many such caste based films with cringe worthy villains and senseless action.
