Gary Oldman needs to play Joseph Stalin to complete the trilogy

Christopher Nolan's "Oppenheimer" is a film that captures the gripping tale of J. Robert Oppenheimer and the monumental Manhattan Project. Leading up to the screening, I immersed myself in various sources to prepare, exploring the bomb's history and spies like the incredible Moe Berg. While the film did an excellent job in depicting Oppenheimer's story, some aspects, such as Tibbets piloting the Enola Gay and Heisenberg's aftermath, weren't touched on. In terms of the IMAX 70mm experience, I understand Christopher Nolan's love for shooting in this format, but honestly, I don't think it made a significant difference for "Oppenheimer." The sound mixing was good, much better than "Tenet," but apart from the Trinity experiment, there wasn't much else that truly required the grandeur of IMAX. So, my advice is to watch it in whichever theater you prefer. The cinematography in "Oppenheimer" was excellent, using black and white to portray present-day scenes while color was used for the rest of the film. At the beginning, the film depicted Oppenheimer's visions, in which he was haunted by the mysteries of the universe. Later, Oppenheimer's visions shifted to the harsh realities of Earth and our capability to destroy it, further emphasizing the film's visual storytelling.

Nolan doing Nolan stuff - used delicious non-linear narrative that is totally gripping from the word GO. Absolutely masterclass of writing this. There’s a sense of urgency and unpredictability mainly because of how Nolan has treated this story. It’s no way a normal biopic where protagonist gradually and in a linear way progressing through his life. Being a huge fan of non-linear narrative, this was phenomenally done. I knew Nolan would make this in his own way and not typical. Combination of brilliantly detailed non-linear narration that is showing different timelines flawlessly, Ludwig’s thumping score, fast-paced editing, Hoyte van Hoytema‘s magnificent cinematography, stunning camera work and most importantly mind blowing Cillian Murphy and RDJ makes this my most favourite movie of the year so far. Oscars will chase this blindly. I knew I had watched one of the best movies ever when there was a sense of total satisfaction of what I just experienced in theatre. That feeling is inexplicable. This movie is a cinephiles treasure in every sense.

The Nolan Treatment on an in-depth character study mostly consisting of Senate confirmation hearings and a kangaroo court in a closet … works and works well!

Groundbreaking. I drool for films that is a biopic and is about science and history. It's crazy and awe-inspiring that geniuses or heavy-science nerds existed and continues to do so!!

Give this movie all the oscars right now. The last hour of this was perhaps the most harrowing and chilling stuff I have ever seen with some career defining acting and an ending that is sure to make everyone's stomach churn. Dare I say this is Nolan's Magnum Opus.
