Nolan doing Nolan stuff - used delicious non-linear narrative that is totally gripping from the word GO. Absolutely masterclass of writing this. There’s a sense of urgency and unpredictability mainly because of how Nolan has treated this story. It’s no way a normal biopic where protagonist gradually and in a linear way progressing through his life. Being a huge fan of non-linear narrative, this was phenomenally done. I knew Nolan would make this in his own way and not typical. Combination of brilliantly detailed non-linear narration that is showing different timelines flawlessly, Ludwig’s thumping score, fast-paced editing, Hoyte van Hoytema‘s magnificent cinematography, stunning camera work and most importantly mind blowing Cillian Murphy and RDJ makes this my most favourite movie of the year so far. Oscars will chase this blindly. I knew I had watched one of the best movies ever when there was a sense of total satisfaction of what I just experienced in theatre. That feeling is inexplicable. This movie is a cinephiles treasure in every sense.
