Nope2022

So first off, I didn’t hate the film, but also didn’t love it as much as others.  If I could give it a solid 3.25 that’s what I’d give it.  Where the film falls off for me it the creature ship. Just wasn’t scary the more it was revealed. When it blew up the audience was verbally laughing out loud. That’s when I knew I wouldn’t get the satisfaction of a truly horror film I went in to see.  There is a lot of allegories I’m still working through, but honestly everything felt obvious and on the nose. Which left me to feel that this was didn’t have as much depth to it as Get Out did. I’m still a big fan of Jordan Peele and will continue to watch anything he puts out, but sorry to say that this one missed the mark for me.
