There's nothing we can do... Except make an exceptionally mid movie
Napoleon (2023) • If I set aside all the historical accuracy concerns—which are highly critical for this movie according to many critics—this is a worthwhile watch. Obviously, this is not Ridley Scott's best work or even among his top films. However, Joaquin Phoenix and Vanessa Kirby are both exceptional in this film, especially the latter. The intense war scenes are also impressive.
Watched the Director's Cut in Apple TV but found it incessantly just a tad bit boring. Maybe should've watched the original cut instead. I think there was more lore compared to original but didn't managed to make it more substantial, just extra. I just dig the war scenes here and there, but the story seems to really overblow with the pacing and drifts on underwhelmingly.
