Napoleon2023

Napoleon (2023) • If I set aside all the historical accuracy concerns—which are highly critical for this movie according to many critics—this is a worthwhile watch. Obviously, this is not Ridley Scott's best work or even among his top films. However, Joaquin Phoenix and Vanessa Kirby are both exceptional in this film, especially the latter. The intense war scenes are also impressive. Where it falls short is the story. There are many significant and fascinating aspects of Napoleon's life, yet Scott includes fillers that completely detract from the experience.
