Messiah of Evil defied my expectations not once, not twice, but three - yes three - times. 1) I didn’t think I’d witness one of my favorite scenes in a horror movie when I started my viewing on Shudder … the movie theater death was awesome. I have a feeling a young Sam Raimi snuck into a theater to see this one. 2) I was shocked that Thom didn’t have a sinister backstory.
