Messiah of Evil1975

Messiah of Evil defied my expectations not once, not twice, but three - yes three - times.  1) I didn’t think I’d witness one of my favorite scenes in a horror movie when I started my viewing on Shudder … the movie theater death was awesome.  I have a feeling a young Sam Raimi snuck into a theater to see this one. 2) I was shocked that Thom didn’t have a sinister backstory. And 3) Arletty didn’t have to sacrifice herself to end the curse? The 100 year old ghost just did what - dress her down? Give her a talking to? Wtf? Honorable mention goes to the dad for painting himself blue and setting himself on fire
