what can i even say...... this movie exceeded my every last bit of expectation. I had no idea this movie will be great in so many aspects like.. acting, sound designing, set designing, humour, cinematography (duh, it's a24), and yeah... i am sold. rewatch it in theatre, yay xd timothee was phenomenal, sorry leo. u'r getting bagged..

This film has got the insane fuel power of Josh Safdie’s own UNCUT GEMS (co-directed with his Brother) and a tinge of Aaron Sorkin’s style of powerful dialogue-driven screenplay. This is a masterclass in writing a drama film where it feels like an edge of a seat action/thriller. Inciting incidents are in abundance, breaking the core known structure of the script with an editing that is one of the best I have seen. Score is another impactful element of the film. Talking about impact, Timothee has outdone himself. At such an age giving this level of legendary performance is just phenomenal. Ending anyways every viewer might have expected it but the way it comes to that situation is what makes this film so brilliant. Pure character study of a narcissistic guy.

Saw this again today. Last movie of the year. I’m trying to write a long form review on the mythical nature of this story so I guess be in the lookout for that.

I too would be a narcissist, abandon my girlfriend, evade police, and get spanked by the guy from shark tank if I was good at ping pong.

in pursuit of greatness

Największym problemem tego filmu jest... jego główna zaleta, czyli nieprawdopodobnie udany-bodźcujący początek, przez co ciągle zalicza stopniowy zjazd aż do końca, bo niemożliwym byłoby utrzymanie tej nadpobudliwości przez cały czas, nawet dla J. Safdiego. Obrazek podczepiony pod Forever Young i linijce o wyścigu to złoto w najczystsztej postaci xD (przy okazji fajnie pokazujący jak uczestniczymy w wielkim wyścigu już od "małego"). Oczywiście daniem głównym jest tutaj tytułowy Marcin, grany przez Chalameta, który jest obecny chyba w każdej jednej scenie(?). No i przyznam, że jest to najlepsza rola w jakiej go widziałem, tyle że to zbyt dużo nie mówi, bo nie jestem wielkim fanem i piewcą jego talentu. Zanim sam coś napisałem, zdążyłem już wysłuchać recenzji Tomasza Raczka, który powiedział coś na zasadzie - Chalamet wybił się na plecach Di Caprio, bo praktycznie kopiuje tu dokonania…
