This movie doesn’t really explore what a world led by women could look like. It just flips the script and imagines women reproducing the same oppressive dynamics men impose in the real world. A matriarchy could have been portrayed as an entirely different social structure rather than a simple reversal of patriarchy. Reducing the concept to “women acting like men in power” feels limited and, honestly, a bit lazy.
