Okay, okay just hear me out. Okay, just listen... what if- just stay with me on this- this is, you still here? Just- don't interrupt me- what if... oh shoot I forgot what I was about- Yes! Yo, just stop interrupting me bro! Okay, what if... WE. Are. In. A. Dr- gets hit by bus Friend: "He woke up!" I recently re-watched Inception at an AMC theater, the height of luxury, with the boios. It was enjoyable for two reasons. One, the movie in all it's glory, and two, it was just us in the theater, no. one. else. Yeah we talked the entire time, or I talked almost the entire time. We (or at least I) had an amazing time and I almost broke the reclinable chair I was sitting in so I can't get sued, yet. A Big Boi with and "i" with some minor problems but an enjoyable time overall.
This movie is a lot... It's awesome but it is one of the densest movies I have ever seen and I wouldn't be able to express or explain my thoughts on it yet. For now, I'll say I think it's definitely a very captivating and memorable film with a lot of incredibly interesting and creative idea and a lot of elements that can be talked about and interpreted.
2nd time seeing this. Great film but now I understand so much more after the second time. Also everything before they get on the plane to me is 4 stars but everything from the plane to the end in 5 stars so I ended up with 4.5 stars, near perfect 🤩. Christopher Nolan: RANKED
Now I need my own totem.
Nolan was seriously in beast sci fi action mode here. Still as deliciously complex and salivating to watch this.
When Cobb spins the top to find out if he is dreaming and ignores it to see his kids, it isn’t to give some twist that “maybe he’s still in the dream Ooh!” It shows that he has let go of his obsession with finding out what is reality and if he is awake. The idea that he implanted in Mal’s mind became his own inception, but by letting her go and embracing his children, he rejects the idea and asserts that this is reality. Whether it actually is or not is entirely inconsequential.
I actually had a dream of this exact scenario
This movie reminded me of the time when i used to go for an afternoon nap and wake up thinking that i have slept through the night and it's dawn, in reality it was just twilight.
confusing af but in a good way, had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. amazing suspense throughout, you could really feel the stakes. Great, great movie overall
You'll never see it coming You'll see that my mind is too fast for eyes You're done in By the time it's hit you, your last surprise Amazing movie! I loved the premise, VFX, action, and music! The acting was amazing as well! Some of the action scenes felt a little jarring because of the switching perspectives, and I wished that Ariadne got a little more development, but everything else was excellent!
74/100 Not quite as revolutionary as everyone says, and not even particularly hard to understand, especially not compared to The Prestige or Following, but a good film in itself, if not Nolan's strongest. First off, the visuals here are obviously spectacular, especially the special effects, making scenes like the inversion of Paris and the zero-gravity hotel fight that much more engaging through just how amazing they look. Nolan's cinematography also helps here, giving the film a quality I can't quite describe, but which I feel enhances it immensely. I was also surprised by how star-studded the cast was, but to the film's credit, no one here is phoning it in. I could just go on and on naming the cast who did an amazing job until I've listed every major role, from Leonardo DiCaprio as our protagonist Dom Cobb to Marion Cotillard as the shade of his wife Mal. I even enjoyed underrated…
