Can’t imagine making a movie criticizing toxic masculinity, to then have the movie be used by people who defend toxic behavior associated by masculinity. I finally watched this one, after already knowing about the main twist, and it turns out I feel like that made my experience better, making me notice a bunch of things I feel I wouldn’t have otherwise. Gotta say, the writing was overall amazing.
