Paul: pisses Stilgar: As it is WRITTEN!!!

Mind-blowing experience. Stuff added from the book made it a bit worse though can't lie. I still thought it was pretty wonderful, powerful, and visceral. Full of incredible shots, music, sounds, landscapes, and sets. It does everything it needs to create atmosphere for these books. may higher the score later.

They kept using weeks or saying things like summer as if that planet is the same calendar time as Earth. Lol loved it though.

I will go and see dune 3 in theaters I have to. I didn’t remember this one that much at all but it is insane. The cinematography the story the action the last hour everything about this film is just pure amazingness

There are no sides.

I don’t know what to write. I had an amazing, immersive experience with this! The way this world is presented feels so natural, like it couldn’t be anything else, that it almost feels real. You almost forget everything here has been created. The many things the fremen do to preserve water, how they have come to understand the desert and the religion that comes out of this all work together really really well. And the beauty here doesn’t feel boring and perfect (as it does sometimes in the first movie). The worm riding scene was awesome. For something so out there and “silly” like riding a big worm, the film makes the scene feel tense, real, grounded. As if the crew behind the film studied actual worm riding in Arrakis to make sure it's properly portrayed. Not everything here is serious, though. Rewatching this bad boy every month till I get any Beaches.

ROUND 2 OF DUNE 2 WAS YET AGAIN A SPECTACULAR EXPERIENCE. AS WRITTEN!!! Was even more satisfying and yet again spectacular to witness on big screen. Really Denis has executed everything, every part of the story with attention to detail/sincerity. Can sense his respect towards the author of Dune Books - Frank Herbert.  Somehow the big set pieces are still made to feel grounded. One would never expect this treatment in a fictional world like this. Not a single thing in this world seems artificial. Denis and everybody involved has achieved something unthinkable. Feels all too real 🙏 Any other careless director would have taken a superhero treatment route for this with all the usual Hollywood masala.  Denis and his team knows what they are dealing with. They handled this complex book adaptation with utmost care and never ending passion.

Już pierwsza część była imponująca w tym jak była zrealizowana, niejako zawieszając poprzeczkę filmom, które chcą być uznawane za widowiskowe. Część druga podnosi tę poprzeczkę jeszcze wyżej. Zresztą w momencie kiedy to piszę, istnieją już pewnie całe elaboraty o tym, jak druga Diuna wygląda i brzmi, więc od siebie dodam tylko, że jest to wielkie widowisko nie tylko na wielkim ekranie. Przegapiłem okazję na zobaczenie filmu w IMAX-ie albo przynajmniej na zwykłym kinowym ekranie, a i tak zbierałem szczękę z podłogi, oglądając na 3-calowym starym Sony Ericssonie. Dobra, jokes aside, ale autentycznie dzieło Villeneuve'a robi wrażenie nawet w domowym zaciszu. Do tego istna aktorska śmietanka, gdzie każdy ma jakąś okazję na popisanie się swoim aktorskim zapleczem. Nie ma tu nieciekawie poprowadzonej postaci, a każdy z wątków na swój sposób intryguje, chociaż niektóre z nich dostały malutko…

The intensity and depth that seep in throughout the course of the film towards the end. What I admire about this film is the marvelous execution of tension, regardless of the film's pacing and length. I am convinced that this is maybe Villueneve's best sequel film so far.
