This is like “Promising young woman” of desi cinema and oh I am so happy that we got a movie like this. Promising Young woman was about a girl avenging the death of her best friend who committed suicide after she was raped, which was a black comedy too. In “Darlings” it’s slightly different as it’s about domestic abuse victim but genre is same which is black comedy thriller and the rage in the lead character though confused initially but is also similar to Carey Mulligan’s character. Kickass is the word for executing something as tough as this with dark comedy as a base genre. Thanks to stunning actors. Climax was thankfully very satisfying as this could have gone a very very obvious way. I was more impressed With the fact that this didn’t go overboard and was not slapstick-y.
