Always searching for paradise I'll admit that I'm good as blind Darling I confess yes I've ruined three lives And didn't care till I found out that one of them was mine I love movies about weird guys. And this one, much like Bronson, is unusual because it is a true story at least according to the guy who says it. It’s a lot like Catch Me If You Can; except at least half of this story is verifiable. It is at least true that Chuck Barris was the creator of many popular game shows in the 70s. But as for everything else, who can say? It’s the kind of thing where if someone denies it, you have to think “you would say that wouldn’t you?” Maybe writing about the CIA stuff was just his way to cope with something else. Maybe some past trauma or just the humdrum of everyday life being a tv producer. I don’t know, what do I look like a brain doctor?
