Um filme sobre a importância da incerteza num mundo cheio daqueles que acreditam entender e não buscam ouvir. Uma pena que eu já sabia de um “twist” final por causa de um post no twitter…mas não tirou tanto da minha experiência. O momento continuou impactante, continuo pensando nele…
Some might judge me badly (This has got mostly positive reviews) but this is one of the best examples of how to add unnecessary “WOKE” thing in the end and ruin the great film that it was for 105 minutes. I felt like banging my head after that ending. From 4 stars film to 3 stars film this suddenly became. I will be so upset if this film wins “best picture”. “Woke” is good but there’s some limit to it in films. Just to please certain section of audience, you can’t add it everywhere. It doesn’t fit properly here at all. Super disappointed. Positives - There are many. From background music to aesthetics (beautifully shot) to the performance of Ralph Fiennes, all were so good. Writing too was crisp throughout (105 minutes) and got to know about how they conduct this process of pope election. Unfortunately that ending ruined everything for me. I don’t even remember other good things that this film had now because of that pathetic reveal in the end.
Oh y’all wanted a twist!
Conclave’s cup overflows with sassiness and I love it. Who knew you could make cardinals seem relatable … we’re all selfish pricks!

Pierwsze dwa akty nawet bardziej niż w porządku, chociaż chwilę się rozkręca. Ale kiedy już się rozkręciło, kiedy już zaczynałem z coraz większą fascynacją oczekiwać na to, jak się to wszystko zakończy, kiedy już zaczynałem się z tym filmem lubić - bum, z buta wjechała końcówka ze swoim miernym moralizatorstwem. Po co? Dlaczego? Nie mam pojęcia, ale nagle z przyzwoitego dramatu o ludzkich przywarach podszytego knuciem i spiskowaniem, zrobiła się jakaś denna przypowieść o tym, że trzeba kochać bliźniego swego, kimkolwiek by nie był i jakiejkolwiek religii by nie wyznawał. Natomiast samo zakończenie to chyba szokowanie dla samego faktu szokowania, kontynuujące pouczanie widza. PS Wyjebcie stamtąd te irytującą zakonnicę...
