One day at work, unsuccessful puppeteer Craig finds a portal into the head of actor John Malkovich. The portal soon becomes a passion for anybody who enters its mad and controlling world of overtaking another human body.

Amazing prequel to Get Out.
Knows how to create a quirky world. And then gradually implement offbeat humorous things to get you into the mood that’s open to the idea that there’s a door somewhere that leads into the head of John Malkovich. It starts with some Harry Potter-like elements like the 7 1/2 floor and then the people around the main character are weirder and weirder, that you feel comfortable in this strange world by the point the door gets introduced. It’s hilarious! And these characters were very interesting! Love a Spike Jonze + Charlie Kaufman collab.
Intriguing as hell concept. It’s so inventive in mixing different themes like discovering one self or how it would be if you get into someone else’s mind. Basically Voyeurism of different kind. It’s also intelligently funny. For 1999 it would have seriously been the most unique film to come out and even now after I watched this Spike Jonze’s directorial debut with debut writer Charlie Kaufman, it still felt so fresh. Such is the extraordinarily imaginative writing. This had to be one of the best feature film Debuts (Both writer and director) in the history of filmmaking.
