Is it just me or like does Xavier's and Erik's relationship seem a lot like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's and Malcom X's relationship? One is for integration and equality through peace and love, and the other promoting isolation by any means necessary. The X-Men in comics have often been used as an allegory for racism and social prejudice. I'm probably not the first one to think of this, in fact I doubt it, but if that's what they were going for, hey, I thought it worked pretty well. Too bad the rest of the movie was generic ass 2000s shit with no style or substance
