With his marriage fraying, Blake persuades his wife Charlotte to take a break from the city and visit his remote childhood home in rural Oregon. As they arrive at the farmhouse in the dead of night, they're attacked by an unseen animal and barricade themselves inside the home as the creature prowls the perimeter. But as the night stretches on, Blake begins to behave strangely, transforming into something unrecognizable.

Bark Bark Bitch Yeah this is not great. There’s some good ideas here but if they wanted to do body horror they should’ve gone full The Fly. This movie needed way better pacing and writing. All I could think about the whole time is everything I would do to make it better.

Co tu się wydarzyło w ogóle??!! Whannell zapomniał chyba, że oprócz przekazu kino gatunkowe powinno być też - a nawet przede wszystkim - rozrywką. Jak facet mógł puścic w obieg film o wilkołakach, gdzie zaczyna się COKOLWIEK dziać dopiero w ostatnich 20 minutach, a sama transofrmacja z człowieka w wilkołaka, która jest zazwyczaj ważnym elementem tych filmów; wygląda tak słabo. Jeśli wygląda w ogóle, bo duża część tej stopniowej przemiany jest off-screen. Grozy też tu jak na lekarstwo, bo 3 tanie jump scare'y na krzyż i 2 sceny ucieczki przed monstrum, to trochę mało. Słabizna, ale daję pół gwiazdki extra za naprawdę uroczą i przekonującą relację ojciec-córka. Wilki chyba aż tak dobrze w ciemności nie widzą 🤔
