Got the 4D experience by watching this with my dad who is literally Paul Reiser

Hell Man, what a movie. Every single aspect of this is done to perfection. The writing and dialogue are superb, the acting is some of the most intense yet natural I have ever seen, the music is obviously banging, the cinematography is crisp and creative and the editing is not only really dynamic but also captures the nonstop thrill that this movie puts on you. and yeah speaking of which this movie is nonstop excitement. After the first couple of minutes, you are immediately thrown into the tension and it never lets go. I also love how this movie's message isn't too clear. Niemen did achieve what he wanted to, and he could definitely become the next charlie parker but at what cost. The reaction his dad gave at the end shows that when you push your limits to achieve the success you will wound up losing reality. It's the whole debate over legacy vs a normal life. So yeah it's a masterpiece for sure

Whiplash is one of those movies where you feel like everything really was planned and had a purpose in the telling of the story. One of the scariest non-horror movies I've ever seen!

jesus christ. exhilarating doesnt even cover half of what this movie is. visceral, cruel, almost militaristic brutality. the moral ambiguity too. i wonder if at the end, andrew felt triumph, i wonder if he thinks that the greatness he achieves at the end is a victory, or a tragedy of some sort.
