One of the best movies I’ve ever seen. Gorgeous colors and great characters. They do so much with such a small footprint. Most of the whole movie takes place over one night and in one location. And yet it stayed incredibly entertaining, which is really solely due to the strength of our titular angels. They are written and performed so beautifully and have so much depth that I was sad when the film ended because I wanted to stay with them and keep watching their antics. Really, my only complaint is that I wish there was more.  I’ve never seen Peter Ustinov so young, and he is fantastic. Humphrey Bogart and Aldo Ray are terrific too, but Ustinov is so charming. As I said before, it’s a very small film but an incredibly good time. And it’s a Christmas movie to boot!  Definitely recommend this one.
