As the president of a trashy TV channel, Max Renn is desperate for new programming to attract viewers. When he happens upon "Videodrome," a TV show dedicated to gratuitous torture and punishment, Max sees a potential hit and broadcasts the show on his channel. However, after his girlfriend auditions for the show and never returns, Max investigates the truth behind Videodrome and discovers that the graphic violence may not be as fake as he thought.

#16 of 31 for Hooptober If there’s anything that Hooptober has taught me so far, is that I freaking love David Cronenberg’s subtle and yet effective special effects. I’ve been constantly surprised by his work in The Fly and now this.
The scariest part was when he smeared pizza sauce on the picture with his thumb.
Gotta rewatch some other time…I can see it’s good but I just didn’t absorb most of it
