Varathan

This is the most massiest Fahad could get in a film. I was shocked to see this side in him. After good and slowly building the tension it suddenly becomes an action film in the end. There was no character’s back story as to why Fahad’s character would suddenly become a typical masala hero from a very sensitive and non-violent guy 80% of the film. This was my main issue. Though it was fun to see Fahad’s character in this avatar, I had issues with the way good character was handled in this manner and suddenly changing the tone from important social drama to action film. Nonetheless this is a film that I would call as a classy massy film which is lakh times better than the typical nonsensical masala films that we usually get. Props to Aishwarya for great performance.
