Whatever emotion this film was trying to get out of you, it definitely accomplished that with me. It had me in its grips. Made me feel queasy, sick, and shocked. Man this movie is by far my favorite for the year.

Sometimes a horror that doesn’t hold back, sometimes a drama that can be really quiet. You gotta go in ready to not understand much, your experience will be way better with those expectations in mind. I just wish I could grasp a little bit better what the main character is going through, so I could relate to her.

Julia Ducournau does it again after insanely original last movie RAW.  Keeping aside all the bizarreness (Good bizarre) that Julia’s mind throws in this, it’s her tender side of mind that gives this film life and shockingly connects with the twisted nature of the film and a lead character. Some might argue it’s toxic but what beautifully works is two main characters are in their own messed up space in their own lives and they both need somebody to take care of each other’s extremities. This unexpected  relationship is what makes this movie a proper twisted yet endearing MASTERPIECE. Last 10 minutes of this film showcases the director/writer Julia’s tenderest side and she captures this scene masterfully. Highly original stuff yet again.
