I DID like this movie ROD **The Issue **I had with this movie is that while it was clearly a commentary on social inequality and how control of your life is constantly slipping into control of powerful elites it failed. Although this is true the portrayal of aliens running things is the huge failure. The use of aliens disconnects you from the fact that the people who are doing this are exactly like you. And the recruitment of the working class to help them implies that there is an active malicious force when it truth it is passive. Any one of our conditioners feels zero remorse because of course if it was not them it would be another. The use of the TVs controlling you bothers me too. Every media system isn't driven by a cabal looking for control it’s driven by exploiting the psychology of human behavior to result in the uptick of viewership. The state of media is a result of optimization to the system we live in. Truth is not as profitable as opinions or controversy because those two bring the most viewership.
WTF, John carpenter if you are seeing this; what kind of hurry you were in? Pacing issues
