OK, so Tomorrow Never Dies is the better action-adventure film, but this is the better BOND movie. This feels like a love letter to the entire franchise and specifically On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, which this movie’s title comes from as it is Bond’s family motto. This movie takes OHMSS, perfects it, and then twists it. With homages to the series and a very Roger Moore ending, I really can’t help but love this one. I feel like it has to be on top. The Brosnan era is shaping up to be the strongest and most consistent yet. And I like him way more than I thought I would, especially after not fully loving GoldenEye. Now let’s see if they can stick the landing for the finale.
