Can’t believe this is a debuting director’s film. In the first film itself he has created a small gem but high concept that will be a great companion piece to Denis Villeneuve’s “Arrival”. Yet a very very imaginative and original indie sci fi that is not an usual VFX filled stuffs but it’s more of a dialogue driven realistic mystery sci fi that relies heavily on your imagination (For most of the part atleast) Long takes, camera movement from one place to another in real time (One of the most unique things I have seen in films), beautiful period settings with the radio/Telephone switchboard people who are curious about future of technology that comes across mysterious sounds during the radio broadcasting makes this an intriguing 90 minutes watch. Great debut really by Andrew Patterson. Looking forward to his future films now after this little gem.
