A movie by horse girls (John Tatoulis) for horse girls(me, a dude). An incredible contemporary fantasy. It’s pretty simple and similar to something like Spirit but I really enjoyed its simplicity. The line between the fantasy story of Thowra and the real world story of Elyne and her daughter is non existent which made things confusing at first but I really enjoyed it by the end The camera work specifically for the horse sequences is gorgeous with beautiful slow motion and glorious wide aerial shots. It’s a shame that no one behind the camera became very successful after this.
