Clarice Starling is a top student at the FBI's training academy. Jack Crawford wants Clarice to interview Dr. Hannibal Lecter, a brilliant psychiatrist who is also a violent psychopath, serving life behind bars for various acts of murder and cannibalism. Crawford believes that Lecter may have insight into a case and that Starling, as an attractive young woman, may be just the bait to draw him out.

The film puts you in Clarice's point of view, sometimes literally, so all the interactions with Hannibal and other characters, specially men, felt really strong. The performances were really great, of course. There was one weird shot at the end, when Clarice shakes the hand of a guy. It seemed to imply something important, but I don’t know what.

“I'm the bon vivant of violence, a licensed psychiatrist who dines on the highest society to the sound of violins.” I almost forgot how masterful this film is. The themes, the look, the performances, the plot. It’s all perfect. Red Dragon feels almost generic by comparison. While still good, that film does not have the depth this one has. The Silence of the Lambs is a movie that should be praised above all.
Expecting a slow burn thriller with meaningless storyline but proved me wrong badly, it excess every thought of mine, very well crafted you can see in the storyline and it delivers where should.
