During a raging snowstorm, a drifter returns home to the blue-collar bar located in the remote Canadian town where he was born. Single location, intriguing story within a story, ambiguities all around this mystery thriller made me watch till the end. Where it actually failed for me was in making it a totally delicious ambiguous mystery thriller. The ending is worth the wait but few other unexplained stuffs that happened before that, turned out to be not worthy of a dissection or an interpretation. It didn’t interest me much except for the ambiguous ending that was done a lot better. Main positives are the constant intriguing-ness in the narration that hooked me right till the end. That’s one thing I always look for in a mystery film and this film had that even with the flaws.
