劇情介於詼諧和荒唐之間
triste que a incrível fala do material promocional não aparece no filme the monkey that likes killing our family…it’s back
Perkins is turning out to be one of those directors for me who makes his film look really good and everything solid technically but struggles when it comes to writing a solid movie. At least Longlegs had something going on and very well done up until that juvenile climax. Here, the tonality falters. In the sense, blend of horror with dark comedy is so poorly done. While doing that, director couldn’t focus much on characters or overall writing. Even the lead character was uninteresting throughout. The central theme of the film, from what I get is that unpredictability of DEATH and chaotic nature of it but strangely film was predictable (Chaotic, yes but still not satisfyingly done). Except few unpredictable kills in the beginning, nothing else was like “Oh I didn’t expect that”. Disappointed overall. Had lot of scope to be something absurdly clever horror. It was absurd for sure but not clever. Sigh!!
What a fun time! I will l be happy to watch this one again which I definitely can’t say for longlegs. Where that movie took itself super serious and thus in the end was ultimately disappointing, this movie knows what it is and just brings you along for the ride. Will definitely be going on the Halloween watch list.
One of the few Stephen King adaptations that felt like reading one of his books - zany, kooky, bloody, and out of control. I also love how Oz Perkins is recreating 90s with his filmography. By all accounts, though, this should be a stupid movie. And don't get me wrong, it's very stupid. But it's my kinda stupid. It's a better movie without the narrator tho
Przyjemna krwawa komedyjka.
