Thomas Jerome Newton is an alien who has come to Earth in search of water to save his home planet. Aided by lawyer Oliver Farnsworth, Thomas uses his knowledge of advanced technology to create profitable inventions. While developing a method to transport water, Thomas meets Mary-Lou, a quiet hotel clerk, and begins to fall in love with her. Just as he is ready to leave Earth, Thomas is intercepted by the U.S. government, and his entire plan is threatened.

uuuhmm no, it tries something new, it tries to be different and it actually is, unfortunately it lost itself on multiple occasion and yet i still think its worth the watch the narrative of this film is...convoluted let's say not in a that cute kind of film where you don't know whats' going on but it's still charming, nor the kind that picks your curiosity and leaves room for you to dig, but the kind that is borderline sloppy. but everything else, pretty solid good composition with a hilarious camera, whoever shot this loves to zoom in and out at any given moment for no perticular reason, no dramatic reveal, no real need for that up-close, he just fet like it and i both respect the adimration and the deication to the zoom. Editing is crazy man, whoever edited this was on the same wave as the zoom lover, if not the same guy and finally, David Bowie as an alien.. no need for further elaboration
