Master work by a debutant Maggie Gyllenhaal that explores the vulnerable side of motherhood that almost had a tangible effect on me, all of it. Even the camera work is so personal that compliments the brilliant performance of all the 3 women in the movie - Olivia, Dakota and younger version of the character played by Jessie Buckley. It’s in my opinion a very bold character study that goes deeper into the protagonist yet mirroring her image on other similar woman and also her past self, still trying to accept her own reality even after all these years. Loveddddd it.
