gah, what can i even say anymore? this is such a beautifully made film, with the most intricate and emotional characters. i loved it. faramir’s flashback to osgiliath in the extended edition? absolutely incredible. it added so much context and depth, especially to boromir’s character. the theatrical version made him seem kind of one-dimensional, but this little glimpse into their past changes everything. you really feel the weight of duty, love, and conflict. it’s such a powerful moment, and honestly, i wish more people saw that side of him. just another reason why the extended editions are elite.
