There are elements and moments of this that I really like. And I enjoy the different acts on their own but they don’t quite come together for me. It’s almost amazing but the stilted dialogue and overwritten message keep from its full potential. Funnily enough I feel 28 years later does a better job of relaying its message simply due to the fact that it’s so surprising to find a heartfelt message in a horror movie.
