Ridley Scott has made a medieval epic that resonates even today. Misogyny, chauvinism, sexism all prevails sadly even today. Ridley told the story in a way that is not so unique and maybe seen before but still it is brilliantly effective way of putting out a different viewpoint mainly because the subject it’s weighing in. The narration is made even more effective by the performances especially Jodie Comer. I was totally surprised by Ben Affleck’s performance. I have rarely seen him in such a role.  I might have guessed what might happen in the end, but Ridley has managed to make me think otherwise multiple times and it’s only because of writing and performances. Any other careless director would have made this into an average outing. Ridley really took this to another level, courtesy of great writing and performances.

What a dumb time to be alive. I mean, the human race wouldn’t have made it this far if women had to experience the “little death” to conceive.
